I’m one of the Nigerian students that learnt French but can’t hold a simple conversation. At some point I hated the language in school because I couldn’t connect with it. Yes I got A’s all through but that was just for grade sake. I completely agree with the Optimal learning. I’ve always loved the Spanish language, food, architecture, accent, culture, etc. This made me to intentionally go online and start learning it, though not in a structured way, but I can have a simple conversation in it.
